Getting a piercing should be a safe and exciting experience. For this reason, we have a few shop policies that are strictly enforced.

Booking Policies
Deposits & Refunds
Deposits go towards your piercing service, and do not include jewelry. Deposits are non-refundable. No exceptions or refunds for any reason. All sales are final.
Kids Ear Piercings
We offer earlobe piercings for children starting at age 5. This is the only piercing service we provide for clients under the age of 16. For children between the ages of 5 and 10, the appointment must be booked under our “KIDS TANDEM!” service.
Please do not apply numbing cream, topical anesthetics, or other numbing products before your child’s appointment. We cannot pierce an area where a numbing product has been applied.
Our tandem service is designed to make the experience as stress-free and comfortable as possible. Two experienced piercers perform the piercings simultaneously to ensure precision, symmetry, and a quicker process overall. We use sterile, single-use piercing needles — the cleanest and gentlest method — and we carefully consider technical factors such as depth, angle, and alignment to ensure the best possible outcome.
We require a valid photo ID for the accompanying parent or legal guardian, as well as the child’s birth certificate, at the time of the appointment. Every child is different, and the age at which they feel ready for ear piercings can vary. We believe that decision should be theirs. If your child chooses not to proceed with the piercing during the appointment, we will honor that decision and issue a full refund.
Outside Jewelry
Please, we ask that you do not bring outside jewelry. Stay True has an extensive selection of quality, professional jewelry, with options for every style and budget. We can price jewelry over the phone for you, or you can browse our selection in-store.
Identification
For adults 18 and older, we require your driver’s license, passport, DMV non-driver I.D., or DMW photo permit. For minors starting at age 16, we require photo identification for both the parent and/or legal guardian as well as the minor being pierced. If the parent has a different last name than the minor, we will need paperwork proving your relationship. For legal guardians, official guardianship papers must be presented. We also will need the original copy of the minor's long form birth certificate. If you do not have proper ID with you at the time of your appointment, we will not be able to pierce you, and your deposit will be forfeited. No exceptions.
Cancellations
If you need to reschedule your appointment, that is fine! You must give us at least a 24 hour notice. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment, your deposits will be forfeited. Deposits are non-refundable. No exceptions.
Numbing Cream
For the safety of our clients, do not apply numbing cream, topical anesthetics, or other numbing products to the piercing area before your appointment.
We do not perform piercings on areas where numbing products have been applied prior to arrival. These products can affect the skin and tissue and interfere with our piercer’s ability to properly assess and safely pierce the area.
If a numbing product has been applied, the piercing will need to be declined or rescheduled. This policy applies to all clients, including minors and children.
